Sympathy is a trait inside most people that create connections among us and is used as a form of communication. Among humans, sympathy has become a way of expressing sentiment among each other. For example, when a dramatic and tragic event may happen in a person’s life, others tend to express sympathy for that person. However, certain factors can apply to manipulate and/or deny sympathy. While many people give and receive sympathy in needed times, certain people use the act of sympathy to create more attention around them. Humans are designed to provide sympathy and care for others, nevertheless we can also detect when a person cries out for attention for the sake of it. When being associated with those certain types of individuals, others around them tend to avoid them because of their constant need of attention. However, sympathy can also be denied from those who in certain cases do want it. IF a person appears to be well put-together and has a hold of their personal life, others tend to not worry for them. They simply become a person who they know never needs their extra comfort because they know they’re capable of dealing with their own dilemmas. On the other hand, there are certain people who crave sympathy in times when it is not needed. This demonstrates to others they only want to be sympathized on their own accord. They take the opportunity to take advantage of the kindness of others and use of to benefit themselves. This lack of respect for others demonstrates how they can easily demand care from others but not care about how they are treated them back. Sympathy can be widely used to take advantage of people or be misinterpreted by others because of the innate kindness in humans.
